Local suppliers

Where possible, we like to showcase the local producers and suppliers that we love. Here’s a short and growing list :

Pictures

If you like the pictures on the wall at Summer Villa, they are by local artist Felicity Gardener (see https://www.felicitygardner.com/). They are awesome, very reasonably priced and available online or in-store at The Collective Beat (35 Collins St, Kiama).

Shower Set

The lotions and potions in the shower are available at Sea and Beau (96 Terralong St, Kiama).

Coffee

There are multiple great options for coffee, but our go-to is the Manning Street Local at 43 Manning Street. If you fancy stretching your legs, Westend Coffee (142 Terralong St) is a pretty close second. You’ll also find Woolies and a decent Sushi takeaway in Kiama Village opposite Westend Coffee.

Bakery

The sourdough bread at Parfait is second to none. Baked fresh daily (except Tuesday). They recently won a national bakery award, so it can get busy in there. Slow Dough on the corner of Manning and Bong Bong is also highly rated, but only open Friday-Sunday at the time of writing.

24 Hour Laundry

Kiama has an excellent laundrette https://bluewhalelaundrylounge.com.au/ at 140 Terralong St. It’s staffed in the morning but open 24 hours. It’s all operated by a touch screen, so you don’t need a pocketful of coins! There is a vending machine on-site where you can buy detergent etc. It’s a few doors down from the Westend Coffee shop so you can get a drink while you wait. Washing machines take about 30 minutes, as do the dryers.
